Home » Letter to Pupils, Spring 2016

Dear Pupils,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas break and that you are now settled back into school life.

I thought I would let you know a bit more about the work the Governing Board does to make sure you have the best possible education here at The Willows.

Last term, while you were looking forward to Santa’s arrival, we had our heads buried in school performance data! It was hard work making sense of all those numbers, but with perseverance we did it! The data tells us that in 2015 our pupils worked very hard indeed and made fabulous progress in all their subjects, particularly in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling, well done!

I am sure that you are all working just as hard in 2016. The Governing Board certainly is, as we are looking at more numbers again this term. We have to put our Maths skills to the test in making sure that the Budget (money the school receives from the Government) is put to best use and that all the bills can be paid.

I would be very interested to know what your favourite subjects are and why you enjoy them. Perhaps you could write to me and let me know?

I look forward to seeing you around school soon.

Mrs Weston

Chair of Governors
